Miramonte class of '86, 30th reunion

The Internet is a buzz about this reunion. Former classmates have been wondering would Jeannette/Bernadette show up. I think it's safe to say no.

And there is also a list of "missing" classmates and you can guess Bernadette is not on there.

Bernadette didn't have to do what she did. High school is tough on all of us. Class reunions are the time you show up and show everyone how good you look and how great your life turned out outside of high school.

A lot of people peak in high school and spend the rest of their lives trying to relive the glory.

Without a doubt this is the first class reunion people actually know Bernadette's new name. Man I wish I could be a fly on the wall at that reunion.

I’ll answer your obnoxious question for the last time.

This is a blog that discusses the case and supports Kirsten, the victim. People discuss this case in an attempt to try and make sense of such a senseless, savage and tragic crime. The questions this case raises: How did Bernadette get away with it for as long as she did considering the very clear description of the murderer? Why was Bernadette's alibi not checked out? What induced Bernadette’s murderous rage? Did she exhibit signs of being dangerous and unhinged before the murder? Can analysing this crime help people to detect dangerous signs in others? Can a person who commits such a savage and monstrous crime ever be truly rehabilitated?...amongst many other questions.

So, I took the time to keep trying to find comments. When I did, I hit on someone who was questioning her. There was enough for mr to google her. I was shocked. I followed an old case once where people like you were making comments on a Topics. All of their negative energy was focused on slamming the family of the deceased. They blamed the family for something they had no control of. You seem to be on the same page as many of us but spend so much of your time making off the wall comments for shock value. If you really want to join in and discuss this case, start discussing it. We all have a right to our opinion and that is ok.

Where are the examples of Kirsten bullying Bernadette and pushing her to her limit? If Bernadette killed Kirsten because she was "bullied" and "put down by her", why didn't she give examples at her trial which would have strengthened her case? She didn't give examples because she wasn't bullied by Kirsten. Columbine has nothing to do with case and you know well that the two can't be compared Can you give examples of Kirsten "degrading" others and "thinking she is better than everyone because of class status"? As someone close to the case stated: a lot more families in Orinda were wealthier than both Kirsten and Bernadette. Also, Bernadette lived in a wealthier area than Kirsten. What is it you want to know? It has already been revealed by others who knew Bernadette that she wasn't the "loser" depicted in the movie.Those who knew Kirsten have stated that she was not like the Stacy character portrayed in the movie. Neither girl was perfect and were both described as normal teenage girls.

Bernadette was suggested to be more academic and Kirsten was suggested to be more popular.

Bernadette was described as a quieter person. Kirsten was described as more out going.

Nancy was stated to be part of the popular crowd at one stage, but "she grew bored of that scene" and changed her image.

I'm not so sure that Nancy was relentlessly bullied. She seemed to be able to give as good as she got.

The other girl that was blamed was described as a "Goth".

Bernadette's close friend, "K", was described as a fairly popular girl who stuck by Bernadette through Bernadette's trial and was ostracised as a result. I don't know how bad her ostracisation was, but people generally don't take kindly to someone defending a murderer, especially if the victim was defenceless.

It's highly unlikely that Bernadette's friend will "ever get on here and discuss". Highly, highly unlikely.

Doubt we'll ever see her again, we don't care to. I read all these posts, its all a bunch of BS to me (Bernadette attending Reunions) no danger of that at all.

Kirsten’s friends still get together time and time, they don’t really discuss the case, they’re not into “morbid fascinations“ and they don’t really reminisce a lot in the past, they mostly talk about their kids and their families, and what going on currently, time to time they reminisce, but at reunions they do not discuss Bernadette, they have better topics to discuss. Bernadette feared her classmates would think that she was gay and gay was not acceptable in high school. I feel sad for the Costas family and feel sorry because Bernadette ruined her life to the point she had to change her name and move away for good

At January 15, 2024 at 3:59 PM , Anonymous said...: Bernadette, aka Jeanette Since she’s a convicted felon by law, she’s not allowed to change her name, so if she changed her name, employers should always require those applying for jobs to not only show their qualifications but also undergo a full background check on them. They should also require fingerprints of those who apply. There was a teacher who is a convicted killer and was caught because she lied on her application, changed her name, etc., and it took years before the school system found out.
