Bernadette Protti aka Jeannette Tomanka

For many years I have been reading about Kirsten Costas and Bernadette Protti. Since the time I watched the lifetime movie "A Friend to Die For", I found myself obsessed with this case. Years later the Costas family is still in pain and they will never have their beloved child back. But Bernadette and her family have moved on had children successful careers (Google Virgina Protti Varela) she is a CEO now! I have dedicated this blog to honor Kirsten's memory.

Bernadette has changed her name to Jeannette Tomanka. A quick Google search and you will see what she has been up to. She also runs a fake Facebook and Twitter account where she uses her name but changes the location to through web sleuths off into thinking that's not her. But pay close attention to the page. She never shows her face or has photos and her friends and family call her Bernie, but she quickly deletes those comments. I don't know why other blogs will not out her. It isn't illegal and I would never post her numbers or addresses even though they are easily google-able. I'm not protecting a murderer. If she committed that crime today she would still be locked up.

Oh, and Virginia and Jeannette or Bernie don't even bother with the dumb and senseless comments you leave. I suggest you change your name again or better yet just apologize to the Costas family and own the fact your're a killer. That's a fact. And now your sister is a a millionaire and it was her knife. So she claims. The Costas family should sue you clowns for every penny your worth since you guys are not "poor" anymore.

Peter is married with a teenage daughter who favors Kirsten. Kirsten’s parents are still in Hawaii and doing very well, change was great for them. Kirsten is missed today, we just wished she had much more time with us, we thank Bernadette for that. I could name a couple she would not even give the time of day to, but one of those girls, she made mends with cause she talked to her at lunch one day and they mended their differences. I was cool with Bernadette as well, as a matter of fact we were friends as well as Kirsten and myself, Kirsten did not have any differences with Bernadette, not till that ( fateful night). You won’t have any idea of how many lives were ruined and changed cause of what Bernadette did, so you Bernadette supporters, there is absolutely no excuse for what Bernadette did. At least Kirsten told people how she felt, and pulled no punches, one thing I admired in Kirsten, her thoughts had no filter. Kirsten would have forgiven Bernadette and it would of all have blown over if Bernadette would of left Kirsten alone. I have not talked to Bernadette , or seen her since the trial, and I do not care to. If she would of robbed a store, or burglarized a home, then maybe I’d say then yes she paid her dues, and be civil towards her, but she took away a life long friend of mine and that is unacceptable, that is unforgivable. Kirsten did have a lot of meaning in her life, she was so (full of life) and she was robbed of all of that. The fun days were so full of Kirsten, there was others who was a lot of fun as well, they helped us get through all of this, especially our Senior Year. A big shout out to J,S,D,K,and A for a very awesome Senior year. Could not have made it without you guys.

Bernadette wasn’t the lonely wanna bee they portrayed her in the first movie, 2nd movie is probably more accurate than the first movie. I’d say the real Kirsten was more like that, (sarcastic) but couldn’t help but love her for it. The first movie the girl who portrayed Kirsten was a straight up smart aleck snob that you couldn’t stand, another (Nellie Olsen) from Little House.
