Why are other Bernadette Protti blogs blaming Kirsten? Defending Jeannette!!?

This is crazy. I'm reading other popular blogs on this subject and the owners of the blogs sum up the case like this. Kirsten bullied Bernadette and she snapped and killed her under the pressure of fitting in. Wtf? We all have been bullied that didn't give us a pass to kill a bitch. Secondly I do not believe Kirsten "bullied" Bernadette. I believe they had a bunch of run ins with no substance and it upset Bernadette who was a social climber.

She saw Kirsten as a quick way to be popular. And when she didn't want to be friends she killed her. There is something relatable about this case. We all can relate to being in high school and wanting to be prettier thinner have even better clothes ect. That resonates with people. That's where a lot of sympathy for Jeannette comes from. But stop victim blaming Kirsten. She was a victim. I actually read on one of those blogs that they felt Bernadette was just as much as a victim because she was "bullied"! No Jeannette should be grateful for this second chance she gets. Even if everybody knows who she is at least she is alive and well, unlike Kirsten. Don't get it twisted, Jeannette is a killer and on this blog it will always be called the way it is.

  4. Thanks for your reply, Susan. I really can't get my head around the fact that she only got 8 years. That's insane for the brutal way she ended Kirsten's life. I see that she comments on this blog. I hope it pisses her off that people are talking about what she did over 30 years later.

  5. She's worried about her "perfect life" being ruined. What gets me is that she actually has a nursing license. That's a joke right there. She always did want to be writer so it explains her blog. I posted on a nursing forum about her and most of the people were incredulous that she was a nurse. Oh, I did get a few jerks who thought I should "leave it alone" but the majority think someone should notify the Texas board of nursing.

I wonder what Kirsten had planned for her future..................Think about that Bernie if you do visit this blog, And all because you were afraid she would tell everyone you were "weird".smh

  6. I absoluteley agree, Susan. A murderer being allowed to have a nursing license turns my stomach.

  9. Being a nurse myself I do find it very alarming that she was allowed a license. I hate to think of her caring for a physically vulnerable patient who might set her off and find themselves in the same place as Kirsten. Given her history, it seems that the board would err on the side of caution and deny her a license. I'm from Cincinnati and Donald Harvey comes to mind.

    1. She might have lied about her name change. That's the only way I can think

  10. No, the records are sealed and because she was a juvenile when it happened and was tried as such she didn't have to disclose that information

  13. She killed once for personal reasons....she'll kill again for personal reasons......I'd stay as far away from her as possible

  14. I would never trust her. I wonder how her neighbors, or children's friend's parents would react if they knew what she did.

  15. They defend Bernadette because they either don't know the facts of the case or they think Bernadette was a loser in high school and they identify with that.

  16. I sort of agree with the last "Anonymous" post. I was a total loser in high school, and very obsessed with certain popular girls who had the beauty and charm that I didn't. I was definitely a 'try hard' who was desperate to fit in and was regularly bullied to be put back in my place. At the time I felt it was unfair and definitely fantasized about murder pretty regularly. I was also a hormonal teen with a mental illness who didn't realize it at the time. As an adult, I can identify with Bernadette, but also equally identify with Kirsten, who was truly beautiful and had no reason to be friends with someone like Bernadette. If Bernadette tried so hard with Kirsten, how could that not annoy her and cause her to shun Bernadette? It's just common sense. I definitely don't blame the popular girls for bullying me anymore, when I truly wasn't one of them and tried so hard to be someone I wasn't. I don't think Kirsten deserved to be murdered, even if she wasn't nice to Bernadette, but I also think Bernadette should get slightly more sympathy for not being able to help what her personality was at the time of the murder. It's not as if she was seeing a psychiatrist, no one (including her) knew there was something wrong with her, so how could she have gotten help? Sad for both families, really. I mean honestly, when you're a loser but don't understand why or how to fix it, what are you supposed to do? It's a serious question, considering how today's technology and social media only further exacerbates this problem with teens.

  17. Brynn, you didn't deserve to be bullied, so don't put yourself down and say you deserved it. Actually, Bernadette was receiving couseling. Her father said she had jealously issues. If Bernadette was perceived as a loser, would she have been invited to an exclusive sorority? No.

No, I don't agree Bernadette deserved more sympathy. She stalked Kirsten and butchered her because Kirsten appears to have been freaked out by her neediness. Killing someone like that is indicative of something much more serious than self-esteem issues. Bernadette had plenty of good going on in her life that she wouldn't acknowledge and appears to have wanted more and more.

"when you're a loser but don't understand why or how to fix it"

A loser in comparison to who? Just because you may not have been popular, it doesn't mean you were a loser. You need to get to the route of your self-esteem issues to determine why you think you are a loser. Going to a professional might help with that. Don't judge yourself from how you think others see you, especially in a shallow environment like school. Teenagers are so fickle and thoughtless at that age. You need to find what you are good at and focus on that. Have goals to aim for and do something about them every day. I know this is cheesy, but picture yourself daily as successful and achieving your goals. You would be surprised at how effective that really is. Seriously.

  18. Nobody is calling Bernadette a looser by comparison. I think what makes Bernadette looser is the choice she made on how she handled the feeling of envy or Kirstin's rejection (it doesn't really matter what it is). Her decision of killing Kirstin earned Bernadette a looser seat.
Picturing ourselves daily as a success is a good idea but a success is different for each of us. Young people need to define what success is first--Bernadette based her success on very wrong things and end up making this kind of decision.
Anyway, Bernadette shows a sign of sociopathic behavior and I am glad this blog provided what she looks like. Now I can watch my back.
