Ingredients:
- 8 oz uncooked fettuccine noodles
- 2 chopped strips of bacon, cooked crispy
- 2 tbsps finely chopped fresh sage leaves
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed and chopped finely
- 3/4 cup canned pumpkin
- 2 oz grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper
- 2 tbsps heavy cream
- 2 tbsps parsley, finely chopped
- 1 shallot, sliced into thin strips and caramelized
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions:
Boil the fettuccine pasta until al dente in water. Drain and set aside, reserving 3/4 cup cooking liquid (this will be for the pasta sauce -- it helps moisten, flavor and further thicken the sauce). Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Saute in butter 1 tablespoon of the sage and the chopped garlic cloves for about 1 minute, stirring continually. Stir in canned pumpkin puree, and then add the bacon pieces, caramelized shallot, Parmesan cheese, salt, nutmeg and pepper. Add the fettuccine along with the reserved 3/4 cup of pasta water, and the heavy cream; toss the mixture to coat. Cook 2 to 4 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Place a helping on a plate then sprinkle with remaining 1 tablespoon of sage and parsley. I also served with slices of tart green apple, which further complemented the flavor of the dish and continued the Autumn meal theme.

Why would anyone want to try that?
ReplyDeleteThat sounds disgusting.
ReplyDeleteIt does sound disgusting! I would be afraid to be a family member of hers and eat anything she cooks because if you make her mad then she might just kill ya!!
ReplyDeleteI actually made it, believe it or not. It was soooo delicious
ReplyDeleteI made the recipe too and it was delicious. I imagined all the stuck up cheerleaders from high school eating it too and barfing all over each other and that made it even better. Yummy yummy yummy
ReplyDeleteI would never try the recipe of a murderer. To the poster above: you sound as big of a loser as Bernadette was/is. Maybe you are one of her loser sisters that were called 'protti private' in school and pollute this blog with support for their murderer sister.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Protti Private. Where you come up with that?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it would taste like shit.
ReplyDeleteBernadette Protti aka Jeannette Butler married Gary Tomanka on May 16, 1994 in Oklahoma. Hard to believe he didn't know anything of her past since she had only been out of lockup for a few years then.
ReplyDeleteIs this her actual recipe or is just another one she stole? Because if it is Bernadette's I can't believe how she put the words, "It's To Die For" - same taunting the psycho does with her "Life Hacker". Bernadette is evil - its just a middle finger to all to show she could car less for being a murderous b*tch - I hope she never kills anyone else (especially her own children). So sad for them that their mother is murderer - with all the info on the web it's just a matter of time before they find out on their own. Bernadette's selfishness never ends- she should have never had children, so unfair to them - but for Bernadette it's always about what she wants and never cares about anyone else.
ReplyDeleteIt looks really good

ReplyDeleteDoes this look like a Gmail account to you?
No?
Why is that?
Maybe because I don't have a Gmail account.
Jesus Christ...who is the obsessed one now?
ReplyDeleteJust watched Death of a Cheerleader remake. The original as well. Such a sad story.
ReplyDeleteIt’s to die for, couldn’t of said it better myself.
ReplyDeleteHer name is Jeannette Butler get you're facts right before using another name!
ReplyDeleteJeanette Tomanka is her name now.
ReplyDeleteJeanette is no where to be found. Her sister at the bank don’t discuss her at all, she’s pretty nice she works out of Orinda though, she won’t disclose any information on Bernadette ( Jeanette) I think we heard and seen the “last of Bernadette” for now. Her sister is smart, ( so was Bernadette) and she is a good CEO and will help you and answer any questions about your billing statements and go over them with you, I didn’t ask her about Jeanette, I know she won’t disclose any information, also Bernadette is no longer a nurse. I’m not sure where she’s at or what she’s doing... All this publicity, I hear was to much for her to deal with. I’m not saying it’s facts, I just heard she’s no longer a nurse and is staying somewhere like Iowa, or wherever she lived before out in the “Midwest“.
ReplyDeleteHer sister lied for her on the stand about the knife. Why are you saying Jeannette is in Iowa?
ReplyDeleteI just heard on one of these blogs she was in (Iowa). Don’t know or care to be honest!, Her sister is a good CEO, can’t help it her sisters a “looney”. As for the knife, it’s not impossible she kept it there to cut up veggies. Bernadette probably knew it was there all along, or got one out of the “kitchen”. I’m sure Bernadette knew all along what was going to go down. I don’t know if Virginia knew or not, it’s not impossible she didn’t, or not impossible she did. If she did she will answer for it. I am certain Bernadette had it all planned from “start to finish”.
ReplyDeleteYou don't keep an 18 inch knife in the car to cut vet and fruit. It's better to hold people accountable in life rather than believing God will do it.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, I agree, in a lot of ways I think Virginia did lie to protect her sister, I do believe that, and she was wrong there. I don’t think she participated in the murder though. A lot of people were hurt and ruined over what Bernadette did, the Costas family the most.yes the girls blamed were really affected badly and some today haven’t gotten over the horrible treatment they got. One goes to the reunion though, I think she got past it all. There were others blamed as well as the 2. There is one girl who won’t go to the reunion cause her life was hell at Miramonte. I can believe that, but they all got to realize all schools have kids who are misfits and (singled out), “bullied badly”, but it happens in all schools. It’s not right, but that is also a part of high school life. Kids have to have someone to pick on and single out in any school. Those girls aren’t the first kids singled out and bullied, and they won’t be the last.
ReplyDeleteDo you think Kirsten's murder was planned?
ReplyDeleteWell Anonymous, it’s hard to say... Here’s what I think happened. I think Bernadette was obsessed with Kirsten she tried to forge a friendship and begged and begged and cried to her to where she made a complete fool of herself. I think Bernadette was so obviously obsessed with “being liked” by the in crowd and especially Kirsten that she just was desperate and wanted it to happen so bad, and when it all blew up in her face, it became to much for her to handle and deal with, and she feared Kirsten would “out her” in front of the entire School and make her the (laughing stock) of the School. I think Bernadette feared it and (freaked out) and did the very unthinkable. Kirsten would of forgotten it by School if Bernadette left her alone. Sure she would tell her friends, but again, she didn’t out her to Alex Arnold, Bernadette May of told Kirsten she loved her to and it freaked Kirsten out. Maybe Bernadette meant as a (friend) but I think there were lots of thing Bernadette was saying wrong that night that it would blow up her Social life, which finally it did,( even to this day) Kirsten was real Social and friendly with people. Yes there were a few she didn’t exactly like, but her didn’t hate them... She would say hi to Bernadette in the halls.. That night took a tragic turn. It’s possible she found the knife in the car by chance. I don’t t want to say for sure on that and be wrong. Regardless Bernadette should of gotten a lot more time. She let poor Joanna and Nancy take the blame and get harassed and bullied, and did absolutely nothing. There were others as suspects as well that got treated horribly. Miramonte was a good School, but if you were a ( misfit) they didn’t accept you. But all Schools and all Classes have someone who don’t fit in their circle and Singled out and bullied. All Schools do. In the class of 86, there were 3 others besides Joanna and Nancy who didn’t fit in and were bullied and ran out as well. There was probably 5 or 6 in that Class. There’s probably 5 or 6 in every Class in every School. Majority of the people got along there and went on and were happy there.
